This was my first EyeCon. EyeCon is a really different experience from Creation conventions (which are the everything else I will post about - TVDChicago, TVDNJ, TVDDallas). EyeCon is smaller and more laid back. They have a lot more events where all of the celeb guests (with the exceptions of Paul and Ian) mingle and hang out with the fans. The celeb guests are all there Friday - Sunday, except Ian and Paul, who only come on Sundays.
Friday there are fan events like bingo with TVD prizes and pumpkin decorating, the first panel of the convention, a Friday night cocktail party with all of the guests, and a concert with musical guest Jessarae, Steven McQueen's younger brother. I got to talk to every one of the guests that were there on Friday at the cocktail party, and Steven ended up coming to the concert. After the concert because Steven felt so bad about having to cancel his official appearance at the convention, he gave us all a deal: if we bought his brother's $10 cd, we would get a photo on our camera with him and his brother and both of their autographs! It was awesome.
Saturday there are photo ops and panels, autographs, a private autograph session, a celebrity banquet, and a Saturday night party.
At the private autograph session there are 40 fans in a room with all of the celeb guests for an hour. It gives you time to talk to them more, and usually they personalize your autographs. The great thing is you also get a photo with EACH guest on your personal camera.

(Unfortunately I didn't get my personal pic with Kat because she did her autographs at a different time than the rest and I didn't realize that I was supposed to ask then for my personal pic, so I missed out.)
The celeb banquet is basically a meet and greet with food. Everyone with a ticket lines up outside the banquet room in order of their badge number, which is a priority number (based on when you bought your ticket). When you get to the door, you tell them which celeb you want to sit with, unless the table is full. Then you sit at a table with 9 other fans and the celeb guest and there's a buffet of really good food. The dinner lasts as long as the celebrity wants it to last. Since I was the 7th person in the room, I got to sit with my first choice, Nate! Nate was wonderful. He made sure every single person was included in the conversation and asked us questions about our lives too. He stayed with us for an hour and a half, and hugged us all before we left. At the beginning of the banquet the celeb guests go around to all of the tables and the convention photographer takes a photo of the celebs with the table of fans so that fans will have a memento.

The Saturday night party at EyeCon 4 was a Halloween party, so you had about half an hour between the banquet to change into a costume and go to the next party! The celeb guests judged 2 costume contests, 1 for Halloween costumes, and 1 for the best TVD inspired costume. I participated in the TVD costume contest, but I didn't win. After that the celeb guests (David, Grace, Nate, Trent, and Robert) mingled and chatted and also danced, sometimes on stage, sometimes in the crowd. The official photographers wander around taking photos, so I did get a photo with David Alpay at the Halloween party.

Sunday is the day Ian and Paul are there. Everyone else (except Kat) was still there too, doing more autographs and photo ops. There is another hour of the private autograph session, when you can get autographs and the personal photos with Ian and Paul. Ian was over an hour late, so though they were going to have an Ian solo panel and a Paul solo panel, they ended up having to have an Ian & Paul duo panel.

EyeCon is a wonderful experience and I'm so excited to go to another one in the beginning of November, which will this time also include trick-or-treating with Nate and Trent on Halloween night! I can't wait!
