I have quite high hopes for The Originals. I think they can afford to make it a little more graphic than The Vampire Diaries is. I think they could afford to make it more grown up. I understand if they don't, but I'd like it to be simply because Klaus can be quite vindictive. But I'm also looking forward to seeing his softer side, the one that only came out around Caroline in Vampire Diaries.
What are everyone else's hope for the show?

Yeah, they have said so many times it's going to be a 'dark' series and I really really hope it is! I really want to see the real evil Klaus but then again, I'm the same as you I want to see his softer side as well! I'm so interested in Marcel. I'm excited for the whole Marcel vs Klaus  |

Klaus is such a wonderful character because he has so many different levels and sides. I love all his sides. When Charlie Bewley asked the audience at a recent TVD convention what makes Klaus great, I answered "He is everything!" and since I was in the front row, Charlie definitely heard me and he repeated it into the mic in a breathy voice, hahaha! It was great. Really though, Klaus has so much complexity and it's why he is still around. Joseph Morgan has given him such depth that the writers couldn't kill him off since there is so much opportunity there for all kinds of stories and character exploration. Now I'm just rambling. It happens when I discuss my faves.  |

Was disappointed that the same channel that currently shows vampire diaries didn't take this up but it looks like another UK channel (SYFY) has so we will now get to see this.

That's good! I had heard the UK channel doing TVD didn't pick up The Originals so I was worried for you all! Glad someone decided to give it a shot!  |
